Hunting Licenses & Arms Regulations
Firearm Regulations
In British Columbia you are allowed to hunt any animal in season with the following arms: Bow, Crossbow, Rifle and Muzzleloader. Yes, you can bow hunt in the morning and use your rifle in the evening. Whatever suits your mood!
If you are bringing a firearm into Canada, you will need to fill out a Non-Resident firearm Declaration to provide to Canada Customs upon entry to the country. Sentinel Mountain Safaris will send you a declaration form if you request one upon booking. They are also available at customs.
Hunting License and Species License Fees
All hunting and fishing enthusiasts must obtain a hunting or fishing license and a “tag” for each species they wish to hunt. The link below contains rates and information for purchasing your licenses.
Sentinel Mountain Safari’s can secure licenses and tags on your behalf and have them ready to go when you arrive. Just one more thing we do to make it an enjoyable experience for our guests!
For more information on licenses tags, and firearms, please visit the BC Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations website.
