Our Guides

Sentinel Mountain Safari’s guides have decades of experience hunting our grounds. We are a group of friendly and outgoing people who are just as happy guiding a newbie around as much as an experienced outdoorsman. We help our guests with packing animals, quartering and field dressing your animals so you can stay focused on getting the largest animal, and having the most fun possible.

Our History

We’ve been running expeditions for 35 years.

In 2004 Steve Saunders purchased Sentinel Mountain Safari’s from Roy Pattison, sadly in 2012 Roy passed away. Steve has been a hunter all his life. He takes pride in calling in moose for the hunters to take. Steve is a expert in calling in both monsters and of course the small bulls for the hunters that want to just take meat home.

Sentinel Mountain Safaris was started to share our founders love of hunting, and the outdoors with folks who don’t always get the chance to experience the joys of nature. We look forward to having you as our guest, and delivering an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Below, Owner/Outfitter Steve Saunders took eleven year old Michal Pannkuk from Washington State out to get his 3rd black bear. Michal used a TenPoint, GT Flex Crossbow. Steve got Michal within 15 yards to make the shot.
